SWCH38K

SWCH38K wire is a carbon steel wire for cold heading. SWCH38K wire can withstand large plastic deformation in cold state without cracking, and is suitable for cold heading and other cold processing processes. After proper heat treatment, it can obtain higher strength and certain toughness; its appearance usually presents smooth and round lines, good surface quality, high dimensional accuracy, and can meet the requirements of precision processing.

Specification:2.00~42.00mm

Production process:

Process D: cold drawing of wire rod into steel wire;
Process DA: annealed cold drawn steel wire and annealed wire rod into cold drawn steel wire.

Deoxidation method: The character after the number in the grade indicates the deoxidation method of the steel, and "K" stands for killed steel.

Features:

  • Specific chemical composition

  • High dimensional accuracy

  • Good cold heading performance

  • Multiple uses

  • Stable mechanical properties

Application: Commonly used to manufacture various standard and non-standard parts, such as fasteners such as bolts, nuts, screws, and some small mechanical parts; widely used in automobiles, machinery manufacturing, electronic equipment, construction and other industries.

Mechanical properties:

-After spheroidizing annealing (DA) before cold working of wire, the tensile strength must be ≤670MPa, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥55%, and the hardness HRB must be ≤94.

It should be noted that for steel wires with a diameter of 20mm or more, the minimum cross-sectional shrinkage rate should be 5 less than the specified value; for steel wires with a diameter of 3mm or less, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate is usually not specified.
