SWCH25K wire is a carbon steel wire commonly used for cold heading. SWCH25K wire has high strength and good plasticity, which improves the precision and quality of cold heading. It can withstand large deformation during cold heading without cracking. At the same time, it also has a certain toughness, a smooth surface and no obvious defects, ensuring that the manufactured parts have reliable performance in use, and efficiently produces various parts with complex shapes and high dimensional accuracy requirements, which can meet some application scenarios with high requirements for the mechanical properties of parts.
The density is generally around 7.85g/cm³, with good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity.

Production process:
Process D: cold drawing of wire rod into steel wire;
Process DA: annealed cold drawn steel wire and annealed wire rod into cold drawn steel wire.
Deoxidation method: The character after the number in the grade indicates the deoxidation method of the steel, and "K" stands for killed steel.

Application: Commonly used to manufacture various high-strength cold heading parts, such as bolts, nuts, screws, etc.; widely used in automobiles, machinery manufacturing, electronic equipment, construction and other industries.
Mechanical properties:
-When spheroidizing annealing (DA) treatment is performed before cold working of wire, the tensile strength must be ≥440MPa, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥55%, and the hardness HRB≤88;
-For wires with a diameter of 4t≤5, the tensile strength must be ≥570MPa in the cold working (D) state, and the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥45%;
-For wires with a diameter of t>5, the tensile strength in the cold working (D) state must be ≥470MPa, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥45%, and the hardness must be ≤98HRBW.
It should be noted that for steel wires with a diameter of 20mm or more, the minimum cross-sectional shrinkage rate should be 5 less than the specified value; for steel wires with a diameter of 3mm or less, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate is usually not specified.
