SWCH22A

SWCH22A wire is a high-quality carbon steel wire for cold heading. This wire has stable composition, high dimensional accuracy, smooth and clean surface, no obvious scratches, cracks and impurities, high strength and good toughness, can withstand plastic deformation during cold heading, and is not prone to defects such as breakage and cracks. It also has a certain toughness and can meet the impact resistance requirements of the finished product during use.

It has stable performance, mature processing technology, and relatively reasonable cost. It is one of the important materials commonly used in many industrial fields.

Production process:

Process D: cold drawing of wire rod into steel wire;
Process DA: annealed cold drawn steel wire and annealed wire rod into cold drawn steel wire.

Deoxidation method: The character after the number in the grade indicates the deoxidation method of the steel, and "A" represents aluminum-killed steel.

Features:

  • Uniform chemical composition

  • Excellent toughness

  • Strong machinability

  • Good cold heading performance

  • Higher strength

  • High cost-effectiveness

  • Good surface quality

  • High dimensional accuracy

  • Wide application

Application: Commonly used to manufacture various cold-headed parts, such as high-strength bolts, nuts, rivets, etc.; widely used in automobiles, machinery manufacturing, electronic equipment, construction and other industries.

Mechanical properties:

-When spheroidizing annealing (DA) treatment is performed before cold working of wire, the tensile strength must be ≥440MPa, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥55%, and the hardness HRB≤88;

-For wires with a diameter of 3t≤4, the tensile strength must be ≥690MPa in the cold working (D) state.

-For wires with a diameter of 4t≤5, the tensile strength must be ≥570MPa in the cold working (D) state, and the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥45%.

-For wires with a diameter of t>5, the tensile strength in the cold working (D) state must be ≥470MPa, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate must be ≥45%, and the hardness must be ≤98HRBW.

It should be noted that for steel wires with a diameter of 20mm or more, the minimum cross-sectional shrinkage rate should be 5 less than the specified value; for steel wires with a diameter of 3mm or less, the cross-sectional shrinkage rate is usually not specified.
