SWCH15A is a carbon steel wire for cold heading. Its stable composition can withstand large cold deformation, and it is not easy to crack during the cold heading process, which is helpful for producing parts with complex shapes and precise dimensions. It also has high tensile strength and yield strength, and can withstand a certain degree of impact and vibration. Whether it is cutting, welding or stamping, it can be carried out relatively easily, which improves production efficiency and meets the load-bearing requirements of most mechanical parts in use.

Specification:2.00~42.00mm
Production process:
Process D: cold drawing of wire rod into steel wire;
Process DA: annealed cold drawn steel wire and annealed wire rod into cold drawn steel wire.
Deoxidation method: The character after the number in the grade indicates the deoxidation method of the steel, and "A" represents aluminum-killed steel.
Stable chemical composition
Moderate toughness
Good cold heading performance
High dimensional accuracy
High strength
Good machinability
Application:Used to manufacture various standard parts and components, such as bolts, nuts, screws, etc., and widely used in machinery manufacturing, automobile industry and other fields.
Mechanical properties:
-Before cold working, the wire is spheroidized annealed (DA) with a tensile strength of ≥340MPa, a cross-sectional shrinkage of ≥55%, and a hardness of ≤80HRB;
-After cold working (D), the wire with a diameter of not more than 3mm has a tensile strength of ≥590MPa;
-After cold working (D), the wire with a diameter of more than 3mm and not more than 4mm has a tensile strength of ≥490MPa and a cross-sectional shrinkage of ≥45%;
-After cold working (D), the wire with a diameter of more than 4mm and not more than 5mm has a tensile strength of ≥410MPa and a cross-sectional shrinkage of ≥45%;
-After cold working (D), the wire with a diameter of more than 5mm has a tensile strength of ≥360MPa, a cross-sectional shrinkage of ≥45%, and a hardness of ≤90HRB.
It should be noted that for steel wire with a diameter of 20mm or more, the minimum cross-sectional reduction rate should be 5 less than the specified value; for steel wire with a diameter of 3mm or less, the cross-sectional reduction rate is generally not specified.
