SCM435 is a Japanese standard chromium-molybdenum alloy structural steel. It has high static strength, can withstand huge pressure and load, has good impact toughness and high fatigue limit, higher hardenability than 40Cr, long-term working temperature can reach 500°C, low cold forging cracking rate, but has a slight tendency to temper brittleness; at the same time, it has medium plasticity during cold deformation and poor weldability. During welding operations, special attention should be paid to the selection of processes and parameters to ensure the best performance and quality.
In terms of hardness, the hardness of SCM435 is HRC36~43, HB269~341.
Manufacture of hexagonal flange bolts, hexagonal head bolts, stud bolts and high-strength bolts with large head deformation of M16~M24 performance grade 10.9 and M18~M24 performance grade 12.9, with an application temperature range of -20°C~480°C.

Application: Mainly used to manufacture important parts in various machines that withstand impact, bending and torsion, and high loads, such as transmission parts of vehicles and engines, rotors of steam turbine generators, main shafts, heavy-loaded transmission shafts, large-section parts, etc. It is also commonly used to manufacture self-tapping screws, machine screws, building screws, electronic screws, automotive screws, etc.
Widely used in automobiles, machinery, electronics and other industries.
Mechanical properties:
Note that the mechanical properties of specimens of different diameters or thicknesses may vary.
Heat treatment specifications: Quenching temperature is 850℃, oil cooling; tempering temperature is 550℃, water cooling or oil cooling.
Delivery status: Delivery in heat-treated (normalizing, annealing or high-temperature tempering) or non-heat-treated state. The specific delivery state should be indicated in the contract.
