20Cr wire is a commonly used alloy structural steel wire. 20Cr wire has stable composition and higher strength than 15Cr steel. Its critical hardening diameter in oil is 4-22mm and its critical hardening diameter in water is 11-40mm. It is easy to spheroidize annealing and has low cold heading cracking rate. The heat treatment quality is stable. Generally, no heat treatment is required after welding. However, parts with a thickness greater than 15mm need to be preheated to 100-150℃ before welding, and no tempering heat treatment is required after welding. It also has excellent cold strain plasticity and can be drawn in a cold state. It also has good machinability in high temperature normalizing or quenching and tempering, which greatly improves production efficiency.
